Got any spare change...

Olivia is into dumping this whole red container of change out then playing with it for about 5 minutes and then leaving it for us to pick up. We've started hiding it so she'll hopefully forget about it, but that hasn't worked yet. She looks for it on the counter and then starts saying "want coins Momma." She likes to find the pennies.

Fun in the backyard

Here is our backyard version of a pool with waterslide. Luckily we didn't need a permit to build it. ;-) Actually Olivia really enjoys pouring water on the slide then going down it usually while naked. She has two "Little People" that also get to go down the slide and swim with her. The small size of the pool makes it easy for her to practice blowing bubbles, which helps us at swim class. Come on over if you want to join us for a dip this summer!

Somebody's watching me

Olivia loves to check out her photo or video even before you can finish taking it. So the other night she found this video camera toy and started taking my picture.

Potty time

Olivia has really been working on going to the potty. She went two times in a row on Friday. We have it sitting out in the living room and she's been running around being a "naked baby" and then will sit on it and go. That's not to say we haven't had accidents...in the kitchen...sitting in her highchair...playing on her mat. But it's all part of the process, right? We're so proud of her!

Easter weekend

We had such a fun Easter weekend. It was packed with activities with the biggest being the annual Bereuter/Paxton egg hunt in Red Oak. So much effort is put into making tons of confetti eggs for all of the grandkids and great grandkids to search for. Once all of the eggs are found then it's time to break them open on whoever you wish. Olivia found a few confetti eggs and couldn't wait to break them open with her hands. Maybe next year she can break some open on Daddy or Grandpa. She really enjoyed Anna and Mia being there to show her the ropes. Anna gave her the confetti treatment.
One of the other fun activities at the egg hunt is listening and dancing to live music performed by different Bereuters, Paxtons or anyone else who is brave enough to perform. Olivia REALLY enjoyed dancing and running around to the music. We'll try to upload a video.Sunday morning Olivia hunted for eggs in Grandmommy and Grandpa's front yard. She enjoyed finding delicious treats in these eggs instead of paper confetti. It was a little more subdued than Saturday's hunt, but still lots of laughs.
Then she had one more egg hunt at our Easter lunch with Mimi, Nana and Janie. She was wise to the treats in the eggs this time and wasted no time getting into them. She also got some Easter coloring books and froggy sippy cup. What a terrific family weekend!!!

All aboard the choo choo train

We went to the Zilker Park playscape - it's huge. As soon as Olivia saw the train she wanted to ride. So off we went on the Zilker Zephyr. She enjoyed going through the tunnel and seeing the turtles in the river.
